Sustainability & certifications

Fast. Fair. Responsible.

At Express Kitchens, sustainability is not at odds with speed and efficiency. efficiency - on the contrary: we believe that sustainable business can only succeed only succeeds if we firmly integrate ecological and social responsibility integrated into our processes. That's why we think sustainability holistically and practically - from the resource-conserving use of materials to short materials and short transportation routes through to fair working conditions throughout the entire supply chain.

Together for tomorrow

Acting sustainably - day after day:

Sustainability is an integral part of daily business at Express Küchen. In our production at the Melle site, we rely on state-of-the-art production facilities that enable us to work extremely resource-efficiently. Thanks to digitally controlled processes, we reduce waste, lower energy consumption and continuously optimize our processes. This enables us to manufacture in an environmentally friendly and economical way, even with high production volumes.

A central component of our understanding of sustainabilityis the conscious use of materials.

We almost exclusively use wood-based materials that come from certified, responsible forestry (FSC® and PEFC certification). These meet strict emission standards and thus contribute to indoor health. We attach great importance to transparency throughout the entire value chain: we know where our raw materials come from and work closely with our suppliers to further improve ecological standards. In this way, we combine high quality with ecological responsibility - and create kitchens that last.

Our understanding of sustainability does not end with production - it also encompasses the way we manage our company, how we treat people and how we assume responsibility in society. As part of the Nolte Group, we work on the basis of a clear sustainability strategy that combines social, ecological and corporate goals.

Collectively agreed wages, comprehensive occupational health and safety, individual development opportunities and the promotion of diversity and equal opportunities are just as important to us as respectful interaction on an equal footing. In our teams, we rely on trust, participation and the opportunity to play an active role - whether on the production line, in the office or in training.

At the same time, we are committed to a high level of transparency and responsible corporate governance. We systematically record and assess human rights, social and environmental risks along our supply chain and work on solutions that reflect both legal requirements and our own values. Open dialog with our stakeholder groups is central to this: We regularly exchange ideas with employees, partners, customers, consumers and local authorities in order to further develop our sustainability strategy and implement it in a practical manner.

All of these aspects are incorporated into our Group-wide sustainability reporting, which is based on the European CSRD standard. In this way, we create trust, take responsibility and shape the future of our kitchen production together with many stakeholders - fairly, consciously and with foresight.

Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD)

The CSRD is an EU directive that obliges companies to report comprehensively on their environmental, social and governance impacts. The aim is to make sustainability transparent and comparable - similar to financial reporting.
